Job summary

Raleigh, NC-based Ryder is hiring an Operations Management Trainee to support shop management, drive cost savings, and boost customer retention through metric-driven initiatives. You will work across Operations, Asset Management, Sales, Quality, and Rental Management, gaining industry knowledge and hands-on operations and fleet maintenance experience.

The program is fast-paced with a clear path to an Ops Supervisor role; a four-year college degree is required; schedule is Monday–Friday,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience preferred.
• Strong PC knowledge including spreadsheet and word processing software packages.
• Basic understanding of business finance, controls and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer interface, proactive management, issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the rental department to maximize utilization without compromising lease customers.
• Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business and satisfaction.
• Manage running costs and maintenance overheads; ensure policies to optimize costs.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure PM scheduling, follow up, breakdowns and vehicle status; oversee technician planning.
