This role focuses on ensuring clear communication, resolving operational issues, supporting workforce engagement, and helping maintain smooth day-to-day transportation operations for General Motors.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, operations, customer service, HR, recruiting, or supervisory roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with employees, customers, and leadership teams.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

• Previous leadership or employee relations experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact between drivers, operations leadership, and customer representatives.
• Support daily communication regarding route changes, customer requirements, staffing needs, and operational updates.
• Assist with driver onboarding, training coordination, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Follow up on attendance, scheduling concerns, and workforce-related issues.
• Investigate and help resolve operational, service, and customer-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and operational documentation.
• Support employee coaching, recognition, and performance discussions as directed by leadership.
• Assist with recruiting efforts, candidate interviews, and onboarding activities when needed.
• Ensure timely communication of company policies, safety initiatives, and operational expectations.
• Partner with supervisors and managers to promote a positive work environment and strong team culture.
• Coordinate with HR, Safety, Maintenance, and Operations teams to address employee and operational concerns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on employee retention, communication, and operational efficiencyAssist leadership with special projects, reporting, and customer requests as needed.
