Job summary

Ryder in Houston, TX is launching an Operations Management Trainee (OMT) program designed to build leadership and operational expertise in the transportation industry. This 18-month structured training is designed to develop leadership and operational knowledge as you work with cross-functional teams.

You will gain insights into processes, metrics, and customer retention while receiving mentorship from managers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issues resolution experience, Preferred.
• Strong PC knowledge to include spreadsheet and word processing software packages (Advanced), Required.
• Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls and metrics (Beginner), Required.

Responsibilities

• Own customer relationship activities and ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with rental, sales, and maintenance teams to maximize efficiency.
• Assist in managing operating costs and maintenance budgets.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and oversee vehicle status updates.
