Ryder System, Inc. in West Sacramento, CA seeks an Operations Management Trainee (OMT) to develop leadership and operations knowledge through an 18–24 month program. You’ll work with multiple teams to learn processes, metrics, and strategies for customer retention and operational excellence.

The role is part of a structured program with exposure to sales, maintenance, and logistics functions, offering training, benefits, and opportunities for advancement within a Fortune 400 company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, required.
• 1 year or more in customer service with issue resolution, preferred.
• Strong PC knowledge/skills to include spreadsheet and word processing software packages. Advanced skills are required.
• Basic understanding of Business Finance, controls, and metrics. Beginner skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer interface and proactive management to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with rental department to maximize utilization while serving lease customers.
• Partner with Sales on customer calls for new business and satisfaction.
• Manage running costs and maintenance overheads.
• Ensure policies and processes are followed to optimize costs and upkeep.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Asset Management, Sales, and Marketing to ensure customer satisfaction.
