Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is recruiting Management Trainees to gain hands-on training in service center operations, from logistics and freight management to team leadership.

The program includes mentorship, CDL licensing, forklift training, and advancement to supervisory roles across shifts and departments. Trainees learn safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience with Word and Excel.
• AS400 background is a plus.
• Open to relocation after trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Complete shift manager training as understudy to an experienced manager.
• Learn forklift operations and production tasks in the service center.
• Participate in OD Truck Driving Training program to obtain CDL license.
• Fill in as supervisor on various shifts and departments.
• Develops knowledge indicators and implements process improvements.
• Record and monitor efficiency, quality, cost, and loads in the system.
