Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficient with computer/PC software (Word, Excel); AS400 background helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid work history (if applicable).
• Professional appearance.
• Open to relocation upon trainee program completion.

Responsibilities

• Complete shift manager’s training under an experienced supervisor.
• Trainees perform forklift training and production exercises on service center jobs.
• Participate in Old Dominion Truck Driving Training program to obtain CDL license.
• Fill in as a supervisor on various shifts/departments.
• Develop new indicators and implement process improvements.
• Use AS400 to move freight and maintain records of efficiency, quality, and costs.
• Maintain payroll/employee information in Workday as needed.
• Submit monthly activity reports.
• Assign work per daily schedule and adjust for volumes.
• Inspect tools/equipment for safe operation and address issues.
• Travel ~15% to other centers to learn operations.
