Job summary

RTX offers an Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) with a Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering track in the United States. The program provides high-visibility assignments, training, mentoring, and hands-on shop-floor engineering experience across multiple locations.

Participants gain business acumen and technical expertise, preparing for leadership roles, with opportunities for cross-functional collaboration and domestic travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering, to start date.
  • Willing to relocate to RTX locations across the U.S. for program assignments.
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, or process specs.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, MATLAB, Minitab or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated use of Lean, Six Sigma, RCA or 5S to improve processes.
  • Internship/co-op or work experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, quality or test environments.

Responsibilities

  • Complete multiple rotational assignments across U.S. locations and new facilities.
  • Perform core engineering duties within program tracks (Manufacturing/Industrial Eng).
  • Identify and implement shop floor process improvements to raise output and cut costs.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to shop floor personnel and resolve challenges.
  • Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T to support manufacturing processes.
  • Use design/analytic software to model and streamline operations.
  • Develop manufacturing planning and work instructions for quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply Lean and Six Sigma.
