Job summary

Target is offering an Operations Intern role within its Supply Chain Facilities in Riverside, CA. This paid 40 hr/week internship provides hands-on leadership development while you learn how Target's supply chain operates and how to lead a team to meet daily goals.

You will work with mentors and managers to gain real-world experience, improve processes, and drive results in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• As an Operations Intern, you'll help lead the team on daily priorities and goals on the floor.
• Collaborate with team members to execute daily priorities and plan shift goals.
• Contribute to quality/inventory accuracy through standard work and processes.
• Track KPIs such as safety, teamwork, quality and productivity to drive improvements.
• Support CI initiatives using methods like Gemba, Fish Bone, and 5 Whys.
• Coordinate IT and Operations to address system issues and test in the WMS.
• Mentor team members to develop leadership skills and continuous improvement mindset.
• Lead daily planning meetings with peers and leadership.
