Job summary

ServiceMaster Services seeks a Service Manager to oversee 5-15 accounts and lead a team of 50-100 employees at the Richmond, VA location. The role reports to the area manager and focuses on ensuring cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 7-10 years in operations leadership, strong budget and staffing management, and excellent communication skills. Flexible hours including some weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management.
• Experience managing a full-time and part-time hourly workforce.
• Ability to manage budgets and operations across multiple locations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with collaboration at all levels.
• Exceptional customer service skills with problem-solving mindset.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time.
• Experience in the janitorial industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of 5-15 accounts, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee a team of 50-100 employees, including recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to achieve operational excellence and company goals.
• Develop and implement effective cleaning plans, addressing absenteeism and other challenges.
• Manage staffing levels, schedules, time & attendance records, and labor budgets.
• Conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness, safety, and customer standards.
• Build strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth and customer retention.
