Confidential, a growing organization in the home renovation sector, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations in the Norfolk Metro Area. You will coordinate field operations, support team performance, manage service partners, and ensure projects meet quality and customer service expectations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, accountable, and excels at solving problems, developing people, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in operations, home renovation or related industry.
• Proven experience leading employees, contractors, or field teams.
• Strong problem-solving and quick decision-making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to coach, train, and hold team accountable.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned market and visit active job sites.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities and help ensure the market meets performance, quality, and service objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop operations personnel to promote accountability and teamwork.
• Coordinate with service providers and field teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to standards.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing development of contractors and operations staff.
• Monitor project execution and address issues involving scheduling, quality, or customer satisfaction.
• Investigate and resolve escalated customer concerns with timely solutions.
• Conduct field visits to evaluate project conditions and quality of work.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, efficiency, and customer experience.
• Conduct team meetings and training to reinforce expectations and performance standards.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, field, and admin teams to maintain workflow.
• Provide operational leadership during periods of increased business volume or leadership absence.
• Promote safety, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
