Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager run daily operations and develop managers. This entry-level management role focuses on learning essential skills, judgment, and discretion in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.

The ideal candidate will deliver feedback, guide teams, and ensure smooth store performance while upholding brand standards and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives clearly.
• Supervise non-management associates and coach shift supervisors to improve store performance.
• Step in when the general manager is absent and maintain smooth operations.
• Motivate staff, especially to boost morale during tough times.
• Maintain brand standards, policies, and procedures across the operation.
• Ensure cash management accuracy and daily reporting per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build lasting relationships.
• Oversee inventory accuracy through spot counts and checks.
