Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is the world’s largest equipment rental provider recruiting an Operations Supervisor to lead staff and coordinate branch operations.

You will drive safety, productivity and top‑line performance while ensuring world‑class service and compliance with company policies. Collaborate closely with the Branch Manager to coach teams, optimize the Rental Flow, process quotations and contracts, and monitor scorecard metrics to identify improvements and cost controls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of sales and operational experience.
• 2+ years supervision and leadership experience.
• Basic knowledge of the construction rental equipment industry or related.
• Strong motivational and leadership skills.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.

Responsibilities

• Support Branch Manager in implementing actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Assist the Branch Manager in ensuring compliance with all company policies.
• Drive branch metrics by monitoring scorecard items and coaching staff.
• Support sales and customer service, including processing quotations, reservations and contracts.
• Maximize operational effectiveness and efficiency and monitor costs.
• May handle day-to-day operations including opening/closing, cash handling and deposits.
• Motivate, coach and train personnel; promote safety and accountability.
