Job summary

At Home Group in Augusta, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager - Operations to support the Store Manager in leading store operations, financial performance, and team development in a large-format retail environment.

The role leads Operations Leads and Zone Lead teams, drives execution, coaches staff, manages staffing and payroll, and ensures safety, compliance, and an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership in a big-box/high-volume retail environment.
• Experience leading 20+ Team Members and handling $5M+ annual revenue.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with HRIS and scheduling systems.
• Customer-focused mindset with integrity and reliability.
• Strong communication and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Drive store operations to meet sales, profit, and performance goals.
• Hire, develop talent and build internal bench strength for growth.
• Coach, train, and develop staff to improve performance.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and payroll accuracy with budget alignment.
• Plan and oversee front-end processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Direct freight, inventory, stocking, and merchandising to maintain in-stock conditions.
• Lead efforts in customer satisfaction, safety, loss prevention, and cash handling.
• Address Team Members and customer concerns with urgency and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and laws.
