Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking an Operations Manager to lead site operations, ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution, and foster partnerships with unions, contractors, customers, service teams, and internal stakeholders.

You will drive safety, quality, compliance, budgeting, payroll, and reporting while building high-performing teams. The role requires 5+ years supervision, a BA or equivalent, and willingness to travel domestically. Salary range $104,000–$110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in transportation, shipping, logistics, terminal, port, or related operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
• Proven leadership experience with strong business acumen and the ability to drive safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, safety programs, environmental compliance, and industry best practices.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, cost controls, and performance metrics.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to analyze business data and trends.
• Ability to travel domestically as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution of shipping, receiving, storage, inventory, maintenance, and transportation activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, future customers, unions, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure service expectations are met.
• Oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of operational data, records, reporting, and customer communications.
