Job summary

Frostburg State University in Frostburg, MD seeks an Assistant Director of Operations for the Lane University Center to lead technical services, events, and day-to-day operations. This role supervises the student Technical Services Crew and coordinates with campus partners to deliver outstanding experiences.

You will oversee planning, production, and operations, ensuring high-quality presentations while managing risk and deadlines. This position requires night/weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience with facility operations in a student union/university center.
• Experience with event production including audio, lighting, and video.
• Experience dealing with clients, providing detailed customer service, and meeting deadlines.
• Valid non-commercial driver’s license.
• Available to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the Lane University Center technical services.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop the student Technical Services Crew.
• Oversee event production planning and operational support for student, faculty, staff and external clients.
• Collaborate with campus partners to deliver exceptional event experiences.
• Maintain and enhance facility technologies and systems; support risk management.
• Contribute to the Lane Center's mission of enhancing student engagement and community.
