Job summary

Frostburg State University, in the Department of Student Engagement, seeks applications for a full-time, exempt Assistant Director of Operations in the Lane University Center & Event Services to begin Fall 2026. Salary commensurate with qualifications and includes University System of Maryland benefits package.

The role leads the technical services team, oversees event production, and partners with campus units to deliver outstanding experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience with facility operations in a student union/university center.
• Experience with event production including audio, lighting, and video.
• Experience dealing with clients, providing detailed customer service, and meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall management, operation, and production of the Lane University Center technical services.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop the student Technical Services Crew.
• Oversee technical planning, production, and operational support of events for students, faculty, staff, and external clients.
• Collaborate with campus partners to deliver exceptional event experiences and maintain facility technologies.
