Job summary

Northeastern University is seeking an Operations Manager for Community Service & Civic Engagement (CSCE) to lead the operational infrastructure, budgets, and office systems that support programs across Boston and beyond. This role ensures scalable, mission-aligned operations that empower student and staff engagement.

The position directs logistics for CSCE programs and events, develops efficient office processes, and manages program budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, higher education, or related field required.
• 3-5 years in office management, program operations, or administrative coordination.
• Experience creating operational systems and managing competing priorities.
• Experience with budget stewardship and financial record-keeping; grant tracking a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite; Salesforce, WorkDay, and Concur preferred.
• Experience planning and executing large-scale events and programs.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational logistics for CSCE-wide events and programs, including travel arrangements, room reservations, catering, supply procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Lead replicable logistics frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability across the program portfolio.
• Lead accurate and proactive tracking of CSCE program budgets in coordination with the Associate Director and Director.
• Direct purchases, reimbursements, and vendor payments in alignment with institutional policies.
• Develop onboarding frameworks for new staff and student workers to ensure consistent implementation.
• Recruit, hire, and direct 2-3 part-time student workers; provide mentorship.
• Contribute to office-wide and division-wide committees, staff meetings, trainings, and special events.
