Job summary

Tractorbeam AI, Inc. is seeking an Operations Lead in Chicago to own how the company operates and run the systems that keep it sharp. You’ll build process, run weekly reviews, plan quarterly, and align customers, engineers, and founders on the path forward.

You’ll design back-office workflows, dashboards, and models while managing contracts, vendors, invoicing, and recruiting. This is a builder's role with equity potential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in business operations, strategy, consulting, or technical program management, ideally at an early-stage startup.
• Understand the numbers behind a growing business: pipeline, capacity, and margin.
• Strong in spreadsheets, with SQL or BI tools a plus.
• Write clearly and can get engineers, customers, and founders aligned on the same plan.

Responsibilities

• Run the operating rhythm: weekly reviews, project health, and quarterly planning.
• Match customer demand to team capacity and plan hiring around it.
• Own how work moves from first conversation to contract to delivery.
• Build the models and dashboards we run the company on.
• Run the back office: contracts, vendors, invoicing, compliance, recruiting, and onboarding.
• Find bottlenecks and fix them with lightweight systems, using AI tools heavily along the way.

The Operations Lead builds and runs the systems that keep it sharp: who's working on what, what's at risk, what's next, and whether the business is healthy. You'll work directly with the founders and own how the company operates. This is a builder's role. Most of what you run, you'll design first.
