Job summary

Cardinal Health in Aurora, Illinois offers a 10–12 week Summer Internship Program for undergraduates entering their senior year. You will work on meaningful warehouse and supply chain projects, participate in mentoring, and present results to leadership. Start dates are May 17 or 24, 2027, with typical hours around 40 per week.

Pay rate is $23.00 per hour, with eligibility for bonus none. The program includes benefits like medical, dental, vision coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Management, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028 (preferred).
• Knowledge of supply chain principles or Lean Six Sigma (preferred).
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Participation in extracurricular activities or professional associations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to identify, analyze, and implement new or improved processes.
• Document and present solutions to site leadership for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop, optimize, measure, and maintain performance and productivity.
• Assist and collaborate with leaders in receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery.
• Assist in daily warehouse operations to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Exposure to order processing, quality checks, pallet building and shipment preparation.
• Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects.
• Analyze KPIs and design workflows to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Develop reporting capabilities and data visualization to analyze metrics.
