Job summary

Xcel Energy in Colorado is offering a summer internship in the Distribution Operations group to provide administrative and project support. The role involves assisting Project Managers, maintaining records, and coordinating work across internal and external stakeholders.

Ideal candidates are current students in Business Administration, Construction Management, PM, Engineering, or related fields who can work full-time in summer and part-time during the school year, with strong Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Current student, Freshman or higher (as of Fall 2027)
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Business Administration Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Finance
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers, Senior Work Coordinators, and Supervisors with administrative and operational tasks.
• Maintain project files, work order documentation, and departmental records.
• Assist with tracking project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables.
• Assist with data entry, quality assurance reviews, and document control activities.
• Help prepare presentations, spreadsheets, and management reports for department leadership.
• Support work order closeout activities and project record management.
• Perform other administrative, project coordination, and operational support duties as assigned
