Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minnesota invites energetic students to join our Electric Distribution Design internship for summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in project management, GIS/mapping, field site visits, and other office tasks while supporting IT systems and cross‑department collaboration.

We seek current sophomores or higher enrolled in ABET-accredited programs (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management) willing to work up to 40 hours/week in summer

Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher
• Enrolled in ABET accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management
• Travel to job sites for design planning and customer meetings
• Able to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hours) or part-time during school year (up to 20 hours) at designated in-person location per hybrid policy
