Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc. invites motivated students for a MPG-FA Project Intern role. You will gain hands-on experience supporting energy generation projects across wind, solar, battery storage, and combustion turbine facilities.

Under guidance from experienced professionals, you will assist with project coordination, data collection, reporting, and construction support activities in a hybrid office/field setting.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in ABET-accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a related field.
• Travel within TX/NM region, able to work full-time in summer and part-time during the school year.
• Able to commute to designated work location in-person per hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Support project tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Participate in field visits to active construction sites to observe execution and safety.
• Collaborate with project managers, coordinators, engineers, and contractors.
• Learn project development and construction processes for wind, solar, storage, and turbines.
• Complete tasks under supervision following procedures and safety requirements.
