Job summary

NWU is offering a supply chain internship designed to provide hands-on experience across multiple functions. You will engage with hourly teammates, interact with senior leadership, and contribute to metrics development and process improvements.

The program emphasizes leadership development, problem-solving, and adaptability in a dynamic, 24/7 operations environment. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations/Logistics, Supply Chain, Organizational Leadership, or related majors.
• Graduating with a bachelor’s degree within one year of internship completion.
• Ability to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong leadership experience in people/projects.

Responsibilities

• Understand various supply chain functions and disciplines.
• Build affiliation with hourly team members and interact with senior leadership.
• Assist in analyzing and developing supply chain metrics and processes.
• Report findings to team members and management as required.
• Set and plan department workload to support business priorities and goals.
• Work on projects and manage time independently.
• Organize and facilitate work team meetings such as pre-shift and roundtables.
• Participate in internship program training activities and development events.
• Develop interpersonal and communication skills to lead a frontline workgroup.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and take on new assignments.
• Gain understanding of all business areas to develop business acumen.
• Foster an inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure culture.
• Carry out duties through internship rotations as trained.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.
