Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking an operations leader to partner with the General Manager to optimize daily operations within a warehouse/distribution environment. You will monitor financials, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role includes managing AR, inventory, routing, dealer relationships, and pursuing sales growth across the region while coaching staff to sustain a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years proven managerial experience preferred.
• Proven sales record.
• Previous experience in a Warehouse or Distribution environment preferred.
• Computer skills including Word and Excel preferred.
• Knowledge of battery or automotive systems preferred.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Review, monitor and analyze weekly scorecards and monthly financials to identify variances to plan.
• Manage AR to maintain acceptable levels and reduce delinquencies.
• Oversee inventory to align with selling activity and optimize turnover.
• Lead Route Service Excellence program for efficiency and cost control.
• Develop and implement market strategies and growth within the region.
• Coach and develop operation staff through training and performance management.
