Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Arlington, Virginia is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects for sortation and distribution infrastructure, ensuring timely handover to operations. You will coordinate internal customers, vendors, and engineering teams to deliver on project objectives and ensure quality and safety standards.

You will drive schedules, lead installation and qualifications, communicate progress to leadership, and build strong stakeholder relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience in engineering with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in fast-paced, automated, industrial environments.
• 3+ years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Work independently with internal and external teams to manage lifecycle of challenging projects and own objectives.
• Participate in firm engineering reviews and influence proposed solutions.
• Set project priorities, milestones, and deadlines with internal teams and vendors.
• Lead execution of systems and automated equipment designs; perform qualifications.
• Lead meetings with clear objectives and documentation.
• Communicate project status, risk analysis and mitigation plans to leadership.
• Articulate designs to internal customers and partner teams.
• Manage change orders, purchase orders and invoice approvals.
• Build strong relationships across multiple projects.
• Identify and lead process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Travel up to 80% domestically.
