Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage the lifecycle of cross-functional projects to deliver next-generation sortation and distribution solutions. You will work with internal teams and vendors, manage schedules, risks, and handovers, and travel up to 75% annually.

You will collaborate with engineers across design, development, and delivery of material handling systems, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE).
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level.
• Position includes travel up to 75% (Nationwide).

Responsibilities

• Work independently with internal and external teams to manage the lifecycle of projects and deliver on objectives and targets.
• Participate in firm engineering reviews and influence proposed solutions for systems architecture and facility processes.
• Set project priorities with cross-functional teams and drive schedules to meet deadlines.
• Lead execution efforts delivering system and equipment designs per standards; perform installations and qualifications.
• Document meetings and decisions; ensure alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans clearly to leadership.
