Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Chicago is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional projects delivering the next generation of sortation and distribution solutions. You will partner with internal teams and external vendors to plan, execute, and hand over projects on time, with safety and quality as priorities.

You will manage schedules, risk, and changes, driving improvements across facility networks and equipment installations. Travel up to 80% domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of professional experience in engineering or related field
• Experience in supervising people
• Experience in fast-paced automated, industrial, logistics, or manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the lifecycle of cross-functional projects across the facility network.
• Coordinate execution of systems and automated equipment designs to established standards.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to set milestones and drive schedules.
• Communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.
