Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services NA is seeking an Operations Engineer to root cause and scale systemic challenges in First and Middle Mile operations. You will lead projects across sortation and distribution systems, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to deliver cost-effective, scalable solutions.

Requirements include 4+ years in industrial/operations engineering, knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA and SQL, Six Sigma and lean methods, and a Bachelor's in Engineering.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
• Experience developing and implementing standards, policies, and programs or equivalent.
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and high-speed manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for sortation and transportation networks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
• Manage multiple projects and tasks while influencing and communicating with partners.
• Communicate effectively, execute the vision with a detailed roadmap and technical solutions.
• Travel Requirements: 50 - 70%.
