Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional automation projects within the Global Engineering Services NA Operations Engineering team. You will own design, build, and continuous improvement of material handling systems, manage vendors, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and with safety and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering required.
• Experience with automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyors.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% across the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, improve, and innovate order fulfillment infrastructure across the network.
• Manage medium-scale automation projects with sortation, conveyors, and robotic cells.
• Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to meet budget and schedule.
• Lead system commissioning and testing activities, documenting results and change requests.
• Ensure operator training, safety practices, and KPI tracking on site.
