Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead cross-functional projects, developing and delivering next‑generation sortation and distribution solutions. You will manage schedules, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, assess risks, and ensure on-time handoffs with safety and quality at the forefront.

This role requires up to 75% travel and relocation within a reasonable commuting distance to a corporate office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• 4+ years of industrial/operations/manufacturing/project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE).
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of challenging cross-functional projects and own delivery of objectives and targets.
• Participate in engineering reviews and influence system architecture and facility processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders and external vendors to set priorities and milestones.
• Lead execution efforts for systems and automated equipment designs and perform installation, qualifications, and risk mitigation.
• Document decisions, communicate status, and ensure alignment with leadership and partner teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering

Master's degree in engineering, management, or technology
