Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Operations Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional projects across the facility network. You will drive lifecycle management for state-of-the-art sortation and distribution solutions, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely handovers and delivery of ambitious programs.

You will travel up to 75% domestically and work from corporate offices when not traveling, with relocation assistance possible.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial/operations/manufacturing engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE).
• Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level.
• Travel up to 75% nationwide with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of cross-functional projects from planning to handover.
• Lead engineering reviews and influence solution architecture.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to set milestones.
• Oversee execution of systems and equipment designs per standards.
• Document decisions and track project status for leadership.
• Communicate risk analysis and mitigation plans clearly.
• Support training of other engineers and ensure safety standards.
