AmeriLife is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join the Agency Operations team. You will partner with leaders to understand operational needs, analyze data trends, and translate insights into practical improvements that enhance customer and agent experiences and support growth.

The role emphasizes business acumen, analytics, and systems knowledge to define requirements, support solution design, and drive measurable efficiency across the organization. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, related field or 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst
• Experience in one or more industries: Annuities, Health and/or Life Insurance, Retirement or other financial services
• Experience supporting web portals, quoting tools and low code/no code platforms preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solv­ing, analytic, communication, writing and presentation skills
• Excellent communications skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely on a professional level with varying technical audiences
• Proficiency in business and data analysis and reporting tools/methodologies (Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
• Familiarity with project management principles and agile methodologies
• Flexible and patient, able to manage concurrent projects and collaborate cross-functionally

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Lead, mentor and coach team members and business partners on industry, business and system development
• Proactively analyze data and operational trends to identify insights, risks and process improvement opportunities that drive efficiency and business outcomes
• Document business requirements and user stories and acceptance criteria for review and approvals by stakeholders
• Maintain detailed documentation for system processes and user manuals
• Create or improve innovative system design that meets business needs; identify risks and impacts
• Conduct work estimation, prioritization and release management
• Contribute to system configuration and development activities
• Create test conditions, test plans, test data and test cases
• Ensure system functionality meets business requirements
• Assist with training development and user acceptance testing
• Support business process improvement and re-engineering activities
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data security standards
• Assist with project management activities
