Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Operations Coordinator to support the Same Day Surgery Unit, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

This role provides daily departmental operations and administrative support to the Leader, handling office activities, procurement, and financial tasks while ensuring excellent communication and patient-focused service in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• 2 Years Clerical Experience required.
• Experience scheduling and communicating within the Microsoft suite preferred.
• Experience in medical setting preferred.
• Experience using EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily support to the operations of the department and administrative support to the Leader.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for office activities, administrative, procurement, and business/financial activities.
• Supports the delivery of patient care and functions in a multi-disciplinary environment, requiring excellent communication and customer service skills.

Overview

The Operations Coordinator for the Same Day Surgery Unit Provides daily support to the operations of the department and administrative support to the Leader. Assumes responsibility and accountability for office activities, administrative, procurement, and business/financial activities. Must have extensive knowledge of the operations of the department to include educational programs, Sentara Healthcare systems, policies/procedures, and regulatory requirements. Supports the delivery of patient care and functions in a multi-disciplinary environment, which requires excellent communication and customer service skills.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience
