Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is seeking an Operations Coordinator for Cardiac, Vascular and IR Services. This full-time, day-shift position supports department operations and provides administrative leadership support.

Responsibilities include scheduling, reporting, accounts payable, payroll, supply ordering, and general administrative duties. Requires two years of clerical experience and a high school diploma; healthcare front-office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical/administrative experience required.
• Prior experience in a medical front office or customer service role preferred.
• Must have extensive knowledge of department operations, Sentara Health systems, policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support to department and administrative support to the Leader.
• Handle correspondence, scheduling and departmental reports.
• Process accounts payable, payroll and mileage reimbursement claims and operational information.
• Order supplies and perform charge entry; provide technical and administrative support to staff.
