Job summary

TAS Environmental Services, LP is hiring an Operations Specialist to support daily operations, streamline processes, and ensure efficient billing aligned with service contracts. This role reports to district managers and collaborates with corporate finance to maintain profitability.

The ideal candidate will prepare invoices, review field documentation for accuracy, manage accounts receivable, and coordinate with drivers and technicians to resolve billing questions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education in business or accounting preferred.
• Experience preparing detailed, multi-line invoices and handling billing or customer collections is required; prior office operations experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of environmental services or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; experience with Acumatica or other billing/ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed customer invoices, verifying labor hours, equipment usage, materials, disposal charges, service rates, purchase orders, and supporting job records.
• Review job tickets, crew sheets, work orders, and field paperwork for accuracy; resolve missing or inconsistent details with supervisors, drivers, and technicians.
• Enter daily billing, follow customer-specific invoice formats and portal requirements, submit invoices on time, and complete month-end billing tasks.
• Maintain customer accounts and outstanding balances; make collection calls and coordinate payment follow-up with accounting.
• Create and track customer purchase orders, service orders, and work authorizations; issue vendor purchase orders and verify invoices.
