Job summary

Crane is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to monitor shipments from pickup to delivery, enter data into the TMS, and coordinate with drivers and carriers to meet service levels. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are proficient with Excel, and enjoy working in a team. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities in logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the status of shipments from pickup through delivery.
  • Enters shipment location, date and time into TMS.
  • Contacts carriers and drivers via phone, email or internet to determine driver location.
  • Escalates potential or existing service failures to Carrier Sales and Business Development.
  • Works closely with Account Managers, Account Executives and Carrier Sales Representatives to ensure service level expectations are achieved.
  • Secures shipment and carrier documentation (bills of lading, PODs, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.
