Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead a team of coordinators in Houston, directing training, escalation, and performance feedback. The role drives on-time shipments and accurate billing while implementing SOPs and continuous improvements.

The position requires 3+ years in logistics and 1–2 years in a leadership role, with a bachelor’s degree preferred. Proficiency in TMS and MS Office is essential for data analysis and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
  • 1–2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in TMS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and resolve issues with sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Transportation Coordinators, providing training and feedback.
  • Act as escalation point for customer and carrier issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct client business reviews to align transportation solutions with needs.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee shipments across truckload, LTL, hotshot using TMS tools.
  • Monitor shipment activity, manage exceptions, and close escalated service failures.
  • Oversee billing processes, resolve disputes, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs to standardize processes.
  • Assign and prioritize workload to meet service levels and deadlines.
  • Support after-hours exception management on a rotating basis.
  • Foster continuous improvement, accountability, and customer-first service.

Job description

  • Lead and mentor Transportation Coordinators, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.

  • Utilize Transportation Management System tools to plan, execute, and oversee shipments across truckload, LTL, hotshot.

  • Oversee customer and carrier billing processes, resolve disputes, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to standardize processes and support operational consistency.
  • Assign, prioritize, and manage workload across the team to ensure service levels and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Support after-hours exception management on a rotating basis as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer-first service.

Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain required
  • 1–2 years of experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team lead role strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
