Job summary

Crane Freight in Houston, TX is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to monitor shipments from pickup to delivery and to manage data entry into the Transportation Management System (TMS). The role involves coordinating with carriers and drivers by phone, email, and internet to determine locations and status.

You will escalate service issues to Carrier Sales and Business Development and work closely with Account Managers and Executives to meet service level expectations and keep clients informed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor's preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong knowledge of US geography.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the status of shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Enters shipment location, date and time into TMS.
• Contacts carriers and drivers via phone, email or internet to determine driver location.
• Escalates potential or existing service failures to Carrier Sales and Business Development.
• Works with Account Managers, Account Executives and Carrier Sales Representatives to meet service levels and inform clients of shipment status.
• Secures shipment and carrier documentation (bills of lading, PODs).
• Other duties as assigned.
