Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC in Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to monitor shipments from pickup to delivery, enter location and due dates into our TMS, and coordinate with carriers.

You will work with Account Managers and Carrier Sales to meet service levels, secure documentation, and support a fast-paced team in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with logistics or transportation preferred.
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the status of shipments from pickup through delivery.
  • Enters shipment location, date and time into TMS.
  • Contacts carriers and drivers via phone, email or internet to determine driver location.
  • Escalates potential or existing service failures to Carrier Sales and Business Development.
  • Works closely with Account Managers, Account Executives and Carrier Sales Representatives to ensure service level expectations are achieved and clients are informed of shipment status.
  • Secures shipment and carrier documentation (bills of lading, PODs, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned

Job description

  • Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED/Bachelor’s degree preferred

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
