Job summary

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield offers a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns join a mentored team, work on meaningful projects, and attend development workshops focused on key business concepts across multiple tracks including Analytics & Data, Operations, and Project Management.

The internship runs June through August, up to 40 hours per week, with housing not provided; remote work may be considered case-by-case.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with proof of continuous college enrollment in a full‑time degree program.
• Must be in good academic standing and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently and in teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support the Population Health Enterprise Operations & Optimization team on strategic initiatives.
• Gain hands-on experience with operational leaders, data analysts, and project managers.
• Contribute to projects impacting quality, cost, and member outcomes.
• Create and deliver presentations upon internship completion.
