Job summary

Interco is seeking an Administrative Accounting & Operations Specialist to work on-site in Edwardsville, IL. The role links administrative and accounting processes across recycling and metals trading, handling transactions from receipt to reconciliation and inventory/WMS entry.

The successful candidate will manage accounts payable, ACH setup, reporting, and document control while driving workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting administration or accounts payable.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review receiving documents for accuracy and process in WMS and final accounting.
• Track contracts, update shipments, close completed contracts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare supplier settlements, invoices, and certificates; process corrections with required documentation.
• Enter purchases into QuickBooks and verify imports; resolve exceptions and process credits/adjustments.
• Process supplier ACH setup and verify banking data; send payment confirmations.
• Prepare recurring operational, purchasing, and trading reports; review daily transaction reports.
• Research and resolve questions from suppliers/customers; address settlement and pricing issues.
• Maintain shipping and records; support workflow improvements and training materials.
