Job summary

Hbcu Connect, Llc is seeking an Operational Risk Management Programs Risk Officer I to lead development, implementation and execution of core ORM programs that identify, measure, monitor, assess, manage and report operational risks across the organization.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to facilitate cross-functional initiatives to proactively manage risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 years of banking or related management experience.
• Strong operational risk management knowledge and leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities across levels of leadership.
• Adept with Microsoft Office products and data analysis.
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations for risk scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Experience facilitating scenario workshops across multiple business lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight on ORM programs to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks.
• Implement ORM programs with policies, procedures, systems, training, and validation.
• Promote operational risk awareness through training activities.
• Ensure program components meet regulatory expectations and align with best practices.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders across business units and second-line functions.
• Stay current on risk management issues and integrate new learnings into processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance scenario analysis methodologies and governance.
• Utilize external loss databases and industry benchmarking sources for insights.
