Job summary

LPL Financial’s Operational Risk Management organization seeks a VPII, Operational Risk Management to advance key initiatives and mature the ORM program. You will lead a team, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive risk insights across business units to support strategic objectives.

You will design, implement, and execute processes to identify, assess, mitigate, report, and monitor operational risk. Strong communication to executives and hands-on leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in the financial services industry, regulated entity preferred.
• Experience implementing and executing ORM/ERM programs (risk assessments, risk appetite, issues management).
• Experience communicating complex materials for an executive audience.
• Ability to engage at strategic and day-to-day levels.
• People management experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation and improvement of ORM programs (issues management, risk events, risk indicators, RCSA).
• Define program requirements with Risk & Compliance, including policy development and risk reporting.
• Partner with leaders to provide ORM insights to support business objectives.
• Lead a team and foster an informed, valued, supported environment.
• Provide guidance to enterprise initiatives and present to senior leadership.
• Develop testing and rating methodologies for controls, policies, and procedures.
