Job summary

Truist is seeking an Operational Risk Management Programs Risk Officer I to lead the development, implementation and execution of core ORM programs across the enterprise.

You will drive risk identification, measurement, monitoring and reporting, facilitate cross-functional initiatives, and promote risk awareness with stakeholders while ensuring regulatory alignment and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 years of banking or related management experience.
• Strong operational risk management knowledge and leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Adept with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations for risk modelling and assessment.
• Experience facilitating scenario workshops across multiple business lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight on ORM programs to identify, assess, monitor, report, and mitigate operational risk.
• Implement ORM programs including policy, procedures, systems and training for enterprise-wide execution.
• Promote operational risk awareness through training activities.
• Ensure program components meet regulatory expectations and align with industry best practices.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders in all Business Units and second line functions.
• Stay abreast of emerging risk management issues and integrate learnings into processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance Scenario Analysis methodologies, governance and data quality.
• Experience using external loss databases, consortium data, or industry benchmarking sources (e.g., ORX).
