Job summary

The Operational Risk Management Programs Risk Officer I at Truist is a subject matter expert responsible for developing, implementing and executing core ORM programs that identify, measure, monitor and report operational risks across the organization. You will lead cross‑functional initiatives and partner with stakeholders to enable proactive risk management and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 years of banking or related management experience.
• Strong operational risk management knowledge and leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight on ORM programs ensuring risk identification, assessment, monitoring and mitigation.
• Implement ORM programs including policy, procedures, systems and training.
• Promote risk awareness through training activities across the organization.
• Ensure program components meet regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across business units.
• Stay abreast of regulatory trends and incorporate new learning into processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance scenario analysis, governance and data quality.
• Leverage external loss data and benchmarking sources for insights.
