Truist Financial Corporation in Raleigh, NC seeks an Operational Risk Management Programs Risk Officer I to lead the development and execution of core ORM programs, identifying, measuring, monitoring, and reporting operational risks across the enterprise.

This role requires strong leadership, collaboration with multiple business units, and hands-on experience with risk quantification, scenario analysis, and regulatory expectations to drive proactive risk management and governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years banking or related management experience.
• Strong ORM knowledge with leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations for risk quantification.
• Experience facilitating scenario workshops across multiple business lines.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight on ORM programs to identify, monitor, and mitigate operational risk.
• Implement ORM programs, including policy, procedures, systems, and training.
• Promote risk awareness through training and communications.
• Ensure program components meet regulatory expectations and align with industry best practices.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders across business units and second line functions.
• Stay updated on risk management, process automation, and related disciplines.
• Identify opportunities to enhance Scenario Analysis methodologies and reporting.
• Experience using external loss data and industry benchmarking sources.
