The Operational Risk Management Programs Risk Officer I at Truist Financial Corporation is a subject matter expert responsible for developing, implementing and execution of core operational risk program(s) that identify, measure, monitor, assess, manage and report operational risks. This includes facilitating complex cross-functional initiatives that enable proactive management of risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7 years of banking or related management experience.
• Strong operational risk management knowledge, leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of regulatory expectations related to operational risk analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and oversight on ORM programs to ensure risk identification, monitoring, reporting and mitigation.
• Implement ORM programs including policy, procedures, systems, training and validation across the organization.
• Promote operational risk awareness through training activities.
• Ensure program components meet regulatory expectations and align with best practices.
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across business units and second-line functions.
• Stay current on risk management trends and integrate new learning into processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance Scenario Analysis and governance, tooling, data quality and reporting.
