Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc in Circleville, Ohio is seeking an Operational Excellence Training Coordinator who will drive plant performance by managing continuous improvement initiatives and operator training.

You will be onsite at the Circleville plant, report to the Operations Manager, and support safety, quality, service and cost improvements through standardized processes and Kaizen projects.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of chemical manufacturing experience desired.
• Knowledge and support of EHS and Quality systems.
• Ability to lead, develop, and motivate others.
• Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations for employee training and cross training for reactor operator, material processor, and warehouse groups.
• Develop training plans and help manage training timelines.
• Present site training initiatives in group and individual settings.
• Site SME for Training ETQ management and help maintain training documentation to ensure training compliance for site.
• Certified to complete training on plant equipment (forklift, yard bird, lifts, etc.).
• Assist training coordinator in maintaining plant training initiatives.
• Coordinate and execute operations initiatives and projects to improve safety, quality, service and costs.
• Drive standard processes and procedures throughout the department with education and best practices.
• Participate in Kaizen and CI projects and initiatives to improve site performance.
• As scheduled by production superintendent, provide additional coverage for production supervision to cover vacancies or provide additional support.
• Communicate and elevate issues to technical and leadership team to keep organization apprised of manufacturing status.
