Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking an Operational Excellence Training Coordinator to drive plant performance by managing CI initiatives and operator training at the Circleville, OH site. You will report to the Operations Manager and work onsite to enhance safety, quality, service, and costs.

The role focuses on developing training plans, managing timelines, and serving as the site SME for ETQ and training documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of chemical manufacturing experience desired.
• Knowledge of EHS and Quality systems; strong ownership and accountability.
• Ability to lead, develop, and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations for employee training and cross training for reactor operator, material processor, and warehouse groups.
• Develop training plans and help manage training timelines.
• Present site training initiatives in group and individual settings.
• Site SME for Training ETQ management and maintain training documentation for site.
• Certified to complete training on plant equipment (forklift, yard, lifts, etc.).
• Coordinate and execute operations initiatives to improve safety, quality, service and costs.
• Drive standard processes and procedures throughout the department with education and best practices.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement projects to improve site performance.
• Provide production supervision coverage as scheduled by production superintendent.
