Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Operational Engineering Advisor to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). You will provide wide-ranging technical support to Range Operations planning and customer liaison at VSFB and PSFB.

Responsibilities include coordinating with government and range stakeholders, contributing to documentation via the Universal Documentation System, and delivering regular status updates. A DoD Secret clearance and STEM degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM or combination of education and working experience.
• 3+ years of experience in technical position.
• Experience with MBSE tools.
• Experience working with Test, Requirements, Systems and Integration Engineering Teams.
• Knowledge of the VSFB Range Instrumentation preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

• Facilitate communication between Range customers, SLD 30 at VSFB and 45 at PSFB and SFRC stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to Range Operations planning, including inputs to the Universal Documentation System (UDS).
• Attend formal meetings and provide technical assistance and comprehensive summaries to Range Operations.
• Provide technical assistance to the Government and all stakeholders to ensure Range users' expectations align with government requirements and Range capabilities.
• Advise and support Range Users through the submission and processing of their requirements via UDS and other SLD 30 processes.
• Coordinate solutions to address user requirements and identify capability shortfalls; notify Government Liaison and stakeholders in writing.
• Regularly provide status updates and progress reports on task assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This position will also support the development of annual spend plans for future Range user requirements.
